The Fifth Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals placed a temporary hold, on the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate due to be rolled out by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health), in response toLouisiana’s Attorney General Jeff Laundry lawsuit filed on November 5th. The lawsuit is protesting the mandate put forward by the Biden administration requiring employers with 100 or more employees to require the COVID vaccine for all employees. 26 states have currently filed lawsuits against the employer mandate.
The vaccine mandate put forward by the current administration through OSHA would require every employer with 100 or more employees to do the following:
- – Determine the vaccination status of all employees, obtain proof of vaccination and keep record of all employees and their vaccination status.
- -Require all employees to immediately report a positive COVID test and remove them from the workplace until the necessary criteria to return is met.
- -Require all unvaccinated employees to be testing for COVID weekly, and keep record of the test.
- -Ensure all unvaccinated employees wear proper face covering at all times
